VITRIFIED FORTRESSES

One of the most peculiar mysteries is the so-called mystery of the Vitrified Fortresses. In Scotland and in France, but also in Iraq there are ruines of old buildings destroyed by intense heat. However, the stones were vitrified and fused together which indicates that heat like that of a blast furnace was applied, although it is impossible to make such a hot fire in open air.
