PREHISTORIC MAN IN AMERICAScience is certain: about 13,000 years ago, the first people crossed the Bering Strait from Asia and reached Alaska, after which they populated the continent over the course of centuries. So before that time, America was the domain of animals and plants, but not of man. Yet. During archaeological excavations in Mexico, researchers found animal bones with spear points still in them. Old age? 240000 years! But that's not possible, is it? Because no human remains have been found, this discovery is 'ignored'. But could it not be that this is an extinct human species, just like the Denisovans who lived in Siberia until about 40,000 years ago and also in the same place as Neanderthals and current humans (Part III, H. 14 ).

THE CO2 SYNDROMEThe media tells us that the Earth is heating up and that is because humanity produces far too much CO2. So no more drinking beer and cola. It really needs to be less! But how can we be so sure that CO2 is warming the Earth? Not, is the answer. Yes, there are theoretical models and very complicated computer programs that 'prove' this effect. But every theoretical model must be proven in practice through experiments. Einstein was only proven right after it was established that light from stars is bent by the sun. Unfortunately, there is no experiment that proves that atmospheric warming is caused by carbon dioxide. What is also true is that wherever CO2 is produced, heat is also produced at the same time. So the Earth is warming because we are warming the Earth. And even stranger: Historically, the carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere changes after a change in temperature, with a time lag of 800 years. And short-term effects show that CO2 increases lag behind temperature changes by 3 to 5 months. So isn't there something completely different going on? We now live in an 'interglacial', an era between two ice ages. But in previous interglacials the global temperature also became higher, sometimes even higher than now ( Part-III, H.12 ).

A HEAVENLY MONSTERIt is said to be on one of the Sumerian clay tablets, a planet - Niburu - much larger than Earth but much further away. It would revolve around the sun in an elliptical orbit at an angle to the plane of the other planets. And even more fascinating: that planet would be inhabited and those inhabitants would visit Earth if they were nearby. Obviously this cannot be proven - such a planet is very far away - but that does not make it impossible. All the more surprising is the scientific report in 2016 that mathematical calculations show that there must be a giant planet 10 times larger than Earth, far away, in the outer reaches of the Kuiper belt. So right? Aren't we alone in the universe? Do we have neighbors, in our own solar system? ( Part-III, H.13 ).

GIANTSGiants, did they really exist> Was Goliath a giant? Were there other giants like him? Ramesses-II was 30 cm taller than the average Egyptian at that time, was he a giant? The first voyages of discovery through South America on the way to India tell stories of giants in Patagonia. Where have they gone? In North America there are countless reports of giant peoples, what is true about that? And why does the Anglican Bible have 'giants' while the Catholic version of the same text gives it a different meaning? What's behind this? ( Part-III, H.15 )

ATLANTISThe fascinating story of Atlantis is one of the greatest mysteries that science is at a loss to solve. It was Plato, a Greek philosopher who lived from 427 – 347 BC. who wrote the story. He didn't come up with it himself, but it originally came from Egypt from priests who felt that the Greeks were like children who did not know their history. Atlantis was a large island, powerful and wealthy, and had an army of more than 1 million men. But the Greeks managed to resist it. But then a gigantic catastrophe destroys Atlantis by 'an anomaly in the celestial lights moving around the earth, with a long lapse of time, destruction caused by intense heat'. Where Atlantis was located remains a mystery. But if we look closely at the similarity between the coasts of Europe, Africa and America, there is indeed a plausible explanation (Part II, H.3)

THE GREAT FLOODWho doesn't know the story of Noah. The man who was chosen by God and ordered to build a boat and board it with his family and countless animal pairs. It began to rain and a tremendous flood came up that lasted for days and rose so high that the highest mountains were submerged. All living things perished. Only Noah and his family survived the world disaster. It is in the Old Testament, in the book of Genesis. Could it really have happened? The scientists don't think so, but they were astonished when clay tablets were unearthed in Sumer with a similar story, except Noah was not called Noah but Atrahasis (or Ziusudra). Those tablets are thousands of years old, much older than the Old Testament. And is it really impossible? In America, the natives tell stories of enormous snowfalls that wiped out all the forests. The world has experienced a catastrophic disaster before. The entire Earth was once frozen ("snowball earth"), and 250 million years ago the entire world burned down and 95% of all life disappeared. A great flood is certainly not impossible (Part-II, H.9)

STONE VASES AND BOWLSOne of the greatest mysteries of all time is the discovery of stone vases in Egypt. Thousands of stone vases have been found in and near the pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser in Sakkara, about 30 km south of Cairo. These stone vases and bowls date from before 2800 BC. These vases are made of the hardest types of stone such as diorite, gneiss and granite and require the use of very hard tools such as diamond drills, diamond grinding wheels and (cylinder) drills, etc. But at that time these types of tools did not exist. The wheel had not yet been invented, iron was not yet known, let alone drills, saws and turntables. Yet many of these stone objects have a perfect shape, often purely circularly symmetrical ( Part-1, H.4 )

PYRAMID OF CHEOPS?Foliage 2Why is Pharaoh Cheops the builder of the Great Pyramid? The classic answer is that a cartouche was found in the upper room above the King's Chamber that refers to that pharaoh. But the remarkable thing is that when Howard Vyse used brute force to gain access to this room on Saturday, May 27, 1837, he found nothing special there. On Monday, May 29, 1837, the room was now carefully examined and quarry marks and red lines were found. But suddenly, on Tuesday, May 30, hieroglyphs were found. Even with a cartouche. The sign that referred to a pharaoh's name was a circle with a thick dot in the center. Nowadays it is a circle with 3 horizontal lines and that refers to the name 'Cheops'. What really happened in that dark room at the top of the Great Pyramid in the last days of May in 1837? ( Part-I, H.7 )

COCAINE MUMMIESIn 1976, the mummy of Pharaoh Ramesses II (1279-1212 BC) was transferred to Paris. The mummy was in a deplorable condition and if immediate action was not taken, the mummy would soon completely decay. A multidisciplinary research team was put to work and six months later the mummy was able to return to Cairo, restored and sterilized. People learned all kinds of things about this special pharaoh, but they were not prepared for one thing: Ramses was a chain smoker! Impossible! Tobacco was completely unknown in Egypt at that time, Egyptologists think they know this with certainty. Anyway, it was only one mummy, so there must be an explanation for that. But in 1992 the same thing was discovered. In the early 1990s, the Egyptian Museum in Munich began a study to determine whether it was true that ancient Egyptians had used narcotics, prompted by the many decorative lotus flowers found in many temples . Dr Svetla Balabanova, a famous toxicologist from the Forensic Medical Institute in Ulm (Germany), examined the nine mummies at the request of the museum and, against all expectations, found an abundance of nicotine and cocaine. These drugs come from the tobacco plant and the coca plant respectively; plants that existed only in America and were unknown before Columbus discovered America (Part-I, H.9).
